Love, brotherhood, and friendship—these are not yet completely gone (They will continue). 

Stars, the moon, lanterns, and fireflies,
These will preserve the light (and will shine on). 

Rivers, ponds, and springs, if they are alive,
They will continue to give life to us.  

The minds still cannot erase,
Kabir, Sur, Tulsidas, Jaayasi and imprints of such others. 

As all are the inhabitants of this earth,
Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis and such others. 

Excuses are just for hiding weakness,
The tough paths, tired bodies, helplessness—these are but part of the journey. 

Diligence, faith, effort, dreams, hopes,
These remain the magic wand, these are the keys to success. 

Bad days, calamities, difficulties, and crisis,
They will pass, for these are but seasonal things. 

Palaces, cars, titles, and abundant wealth,
None of these are more valuable than life itself. 

How civilizations flourished has been witnessed,
by the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Gomti (that flow on). 

Millions of creatures—earth, oceans, skies, and mountains,
All bear the mark of divine craftsmanship (as these are all almighty’s creations)! 

मुहब्बत  भाईचारा      दोस्ती  ये सब, 

नहीं हैं ख़त्म बिल्कुल ही अभी ये सब। 

सितारे चाँद कन्दीलें  दिये जुगनू, 

बचाकर ही रखेंगे रोशनी ये सब। 

नदी तालाब झरने हैं अगर ज़िन्दा, 

हमें  देंगे  ही  देंगे ज़िन्दगी ये सब। 

निकल पाए नहीं ज़ेहनों से अब तक भी, 

कबीरा      सूर  तुलसी  जायसी  ये सब। 

हैं आख़िरकार इस धरती के ही वासी, 

मुसलमाँ   सिख  इसाई पारसी ये सब। 

बहाने  भर  हैं    कमज़ोरी छुपाने के, 

कठिन राहें, थका तन, बेबसी ये सब। 

लगन, विश्वास, मेहनत, ख़्वाब उम्मीदें, 

अभी तक भी हैं जादू की छड़ी ये सब। 

बुरे  दिन आपदाएँ मुश्किलें संकट, 

गुज़र ही जाएँगे, हैं मौसमी ये सब। 

हवेली, कार, ओहदा, ख़ूब धन–दौलत, 

नहीं जीवन से बढ़कर क़ीमती ये सब। 

रही हैं    सभ्यता  की साक्षी भी तो, 

कि गंगा और यमुना गोमती ये सब। 

करोड़ों जीव  धरती सिन्धु नभ पर्वत, 

किसी की होगी ही कारीगरी ये सब!
