Threads of Tomorrow

On a thread of hope, a future sewn,

Where progress dances with seeds that’ve grown,

Sustainability, a whispered plea,

To heal the Earth, and set her spirit free.

No longer shall the forests weep and cry,

As greedy chainsaws paint the crimson sky,

But saplings nurtured, branches reaching high,

A symphony of green beneath the sunlit sky.

Cities of glass shall breathe on solar wings,

Wind-kissed rooftops whispering feathered things,

Electric whispers where engines roared,

Concrete jungle softened, nature restored.

No longer scars where forests bled,

But saplings dance in meadows spread.

Emerald waves on rolling hills,

Where laughter chimes like crystal rills.

For only then, beneath the sun,

Can we truly say, “Our work is done.”

Earth’s song ascends, a joyful cry,

As woven threads paint a hopeful sky.

About The Poet

Atiya Ahmed, is a science student at The Westminster School. She finds herself immersed in the world of formulas and hypotheses, driven by the thrill of discovery. Beyond the realm of equations, however, lies her love for poetry—a sanctuary where words weave emotions into a tapestry of beauty. In the symphony of science and verses, she finds the perfect harmony of logic and creativity. She finds joy in the balance between the rational and the creative, harmonizing the structured world of science with the limitless realms of imagination and language.
