Step out in nature, something happens to me,

The more I walk, the more I see.

Thy nature is filled with bliss, and filled with boughs,

Where melodies of birds adorn the air, and the sounds of water rushing flows. (1)

The world is transforming at a fast pace,

Where technology meets piles of e waste.

Tirelessly machines work in a chase,

Yet humans too are caught in the race. (2)

Plastic waste floats on the sea,

Creating a layer of prison quite thin.

And when fish begin to suffocate,

It will be late to use a trash bin. (3)

It is one step you take to stop a tree from being a stump,

Then let’s all do it together, where we build a sustainable future together

IT IS ONE STEP I TAKE THEN WHY CAN’T WE

It is one step I take at a time to create a better world,

Then why can’t we if we cannot see others cry.

They are the small steps I take,

Then why can’t we if we don’t want our future to sigh. (1)

It is one step to put the trash in the bin,

Then why can’t we if we don’t want the fish to die.

It is one step I take to recycle a thing,

Then why can’t we if we want the poor to grin. (2)

It is one step to drive less and drive green,

It is one step I take to turn off the tap,

It is one step to plant a tree,

Then why can’t we if we want future generations to see.

It is the future generations who are waiting to see the beauty,

Then why can’t we if we don’t want them to sigh. (4)

It is one step to turn off the lights while out,

Then why can’t we if we don’t want others to shout.

It is one step I take to trek to office,

Then why can’t we if we don’t want to get stuck in traffic. (5)

These are the steps one can take,

Then why can’t we if we don’t want to break.

It is one step I take to build a sustainable future together,

Then why can’t we standing all together. (6)

It is one step to change the world,

Then why can’t we do it for our lives.
