Become a Medic: From Me to You
Who holds the weight for the ice caps’ painful demise,
As flames spread, painting the horizon with ominous cries? If you have an ear then hear me out and understand-
We are all Earth’s Medics.
To the energy industry, a huge catalyst of climate change, Can you not feel the weather’s unsettling range?
Embrace a healing role, just like a medic’s care,
Conduct Earth’s vital checkup, do not just merely impair.
To the food retail industry, wasting 40% of food supply, While the homeless continue to starve and cry,
I am urging you, become a Medic.
And bandage up the stomachs of those who are hungry and sick.
To the fashion realm, where trends fade like fleeting dreams, Consuming resources immensely, as it seems.
Become a Medic and stitch the fabric of sustainability, Breathe life into eco-friendly designs with creativity.
To the education system, shaping minds of tomorrow, Instill values of empathy, compassion to borrow. Become a Medic of wisdom, teach the love for Earth, Nurture students to value everything it’s worth.
To the bustling cities, where concrete jungles grow, Nature’s voice drowned as car horns echo,
Be a Medic for green spaces, trees, and air,
Build beautiful landscapes with a breath of care.
To governments and leaders, with power in your hand, Craft policies that nurture and protect so take a stand.
Be the Medic for societal wounds, injustice to subdue, Heal the fractures, unite, and let compassion breakthrough.
And lastly, to those with an ear, So detached from all the fear,
I am exhorting you, become a Medic empower, donate, heal, and create Before we are a second too late.
In every corner, in every sector, in every field, The call for Medics echoes, a universal appeal. To mend the wounds of a planet in despair, Unite as healers for the Earth’s health to repair.
