ആകാശത്തേയ്ക്ക്

കണ്ണെറിഞ്ഞൊരു പ്രാർത്ഥന –

പൊടുന്നനെയൊരു മഴമുത്ത് !

​​ആകാശത്തു നിന്നിതാ

അഗ്നിവർഷം-

സംഭ്രമിച്ചൊരു ബാലൻ

വര്‍ണ്ണമൂര്‍ന്നൊരു

ചിറകുമായ് ശലഭം –

അനാഥ ബാല്യം !

ഒരാലിംഗനം,

സജലമാം മിഴികൾ-

മടങ്ങും പ്രവാസി !

പൊടുന്നനെ വീഴുന്നു

ഒരു മിസൈൽ

മുഖാമുഖം നോക്കി വൃദ്ധ

തെരുവിൽ

പതുങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്നു ഒരു പയ്യൻ

അവനെ ചൂണ്ടി ഒരു തോക്കിൻ കുഴൽ

സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ അമ്പലങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ

ചോരയും കണ്ണീരും

പുതിയ ഭൂമി, പുതിയ ആകാശം

To the sky

A blind prayer –

A sudden pearl of rain!

From the sky

Raining fire down

A distraught boy

With discolored wings

 A Butterfly –

Orphaned childhood!

A deep hug,

 With Tearful eyes

An Expatriate returns !

Falls suddenly

A missile

Old couple sit face to face

On the street

A boy crouching

Pointed at him a gun barrel

Within the temples of peace

Blood and tears

New earth, new heavens
