Metanoia
Darkness took over my vision.
My hands shivered.
My ears went shut.
A similar occurrence I suppose?
This malaise.
This bouldering ache across my skull.
My breathing irregulated against my heartbeat.
How must I escape this?
My knees landed on wet land.
Hands dug into drenched grasses.
Head hung low.
How must I escape this?
I can’t.
No one can.
This is how it is.
This is how it’ll be.
My head ached along the brisk wind.
My ears had thick foam upon them.
My eyes got devoured by darkness.
The daze surrounded me.
This won’t stop,
There’s no way I can escape this.
My mind had dissolved within this disparity.
If only there was a way.
It’s raining again.
Pitter patter on the wet soil.
Have I lived to see this day after all?
The daze surrounded me.
I looked down to see my drenched shoes,
Nothing but me standing in a tatty puddle.
My eyelids softened at the feeling.
This.
Was this what I’ve wanted all along?
My lips curled into a subconscious smirk.
I stood there, admiring the ambience.
My warm hands embrace the cold weather.
The cold air nipped my nose.
I took a deep breath.
I can definitely breathe well under this air.
I am here to live on.
I am here to stand tall.
Another deep breath,
Everything will be better.
A deep breath is all it takes.
I will live once again.
