Breaking The Drowning Blues
An engulfing cloak of marine void,
The deep blue ghosts submerging him, goad.
a cerulean terror seized and paralyzed,
As the silence chorused a jeering ode.
Struggling for breath, he labours in vain;
futile flails against an oppressive pain.
His tears coalesce with the cobalt blue,
He screamed, but only the water knew.
And gradually drowning into salty abyss,
All toils ceased, surrender feigned bliss.
The tranquility of giving up loomed near;
“Maybe I should just stop and sink in…It’s nice down here…”
But suddenly, a burst of hope surged up his blood,
He conjured resilience, like an almighty flood,
Rupturing the shackles of gravity, he propelled up the water!
Heaven above cut blazing gold through the rippling azure.
A resilient spirit broke off the chains,
A resilient mind untied the reins,
A resilient soul broke blue to gold
A resilient heart is the greatest gift one can hold.
