Unconquerable Spirit
Waiting for the train submissively
I looked around the vibrant world curiously
The platform drowning in the sea of people
Each one of them invincible
A man hustles to the extreme
To secure his dream
Inside their souls, beneath their profile
We meet their impregnable side.
Burdened by their hectic schedule
Yet never forget about the sparkle
Broken made beautiful
Despite its distasteful
A spirit-filled with cheer
Without any fear
Their infinite power never fails
Always prepared to sail
In the end, there is that perfect joy and charm
Their loved ones waiting with an open arm
I asked myself, would it have been worthwhile
To peruse this lifestyle?
About The Poet
Yokabet Fikadu is sixteen years old and currently attending Pristine Private School.
She would like to be a realtor in future because architecture fascinates me. She is exceptionally fond of the Victorian style of writing. feels that kind of writing exciting as it bridges the gap between the romantic age and modern literature. Rudyard Kipling’s poems have always enthralled her , ever since she have received a compilation of her work as a child. Her writing captures my imagination and she finds himself transported into another world filled with adventurous experiences.
She aspires to delve into literature of other periods in history, to enrich her own writing and perhaps, compile her own compositions in future.
