I am as old as humanity itself,

I’ve shared this world with you for aeons.

I am with you in your hearts and minds,

And will always be until you’re gone,

I brought you together in love,

And empowered you in unity.

I am the strength in your hardships,

And the resilience in humanity.

In such uncertain times,

When your hearts are filled with fear,

Brimming with uncertainty,

When you lose your near and dear.

Some of you risk your lives,

To help save the others.

Everyone’s playing their part,

To get through this together.

I will continue my work,

And put hope in your hearts.

I will give strength to your souls,

As I have from the start.

So many hardships we have faced,

And every one we have survived.

We’ve done it before and we will do it again,

With all our hearts we will strive.

Be it the Bubonic Plague,

Or the Spanish flu.

We’ve bested the Polio outbreak,

We’ll best Covid too.

This is another obstacle,

That I will get you through.

Another hardship, another challenge,

We’ll emerge standing firm and true.

I am the invincible spirit,

I have pulled you through adversity.

I am always by your side,

I am the driving strength of humanity.

Shuaa is a bright, fun-loving and enthusiastic young learner. In her spare time, she reads and writes stories, loves to cycle and practises martial arts. She is a black belt in Karate.

She has bagged 8th position internationally for the MARRS Spell Bee finals held in India.
