Give up or Give all?
I walked down the cracked road, the raindrops raced on the track of my neck and back
My mind raced like a wildfire, the smoke filled my head from thinking straight
The clouds trap the sun, not even one of its gold, shimmering rays escaped the cage of darkness
I looked around the deserted shops, not a soul wandered around
The sun broke into pieces and each glittering ray fell into the sea
The world is bitter and cruel, filled with hate.
The once orange-red sky tinged with a deep blue, the night invaded the light
The sky was bland and starless, the trees swayed with the wind,
I sat down on the grass, tiny droplets hung on to their tips,
My mind was dazed but raced ahead.
To err is human, there’s nothing we can do,
But we can decide – to sit in despair or rise and shine anew!
I got up from the patch of grass, my hair strands flew with the wind
The night fell in defeat and the sun rose up.
No matter what others do, stand tall – we all belong to the same kin.
The light is the true hope, the darkness came to distract.
So, what are you going to do?
Slump under the raindrops and let the darkness reign over you?
Or walk under the golden rays of the sun, letting light to rule?
Know that the darkness is permanent unless YOU decide it not to be
No one has more power than you, to decide what’s ahead of you.
Treasure hope in you like the most valuable of jewels,
Nothing can stop you, you will be invincible.
