Faint mirror 

screen of fear 

dominated by 

emptiness. 

Sets the arrow 

in motion and 

slides the fearful 

hand sideways. 

And the world falls 

into the trap, taken 

from fog, by venture 

seen and recalled 

in the marks of a chalk 

that carves scratches 

creeps creaks, 

writing monster. 

This way, from the firm dark 

the dusty slab 

stares from the bottom 

at the edges of the thing.

Labile specchio 

schermo di paura 

su cui campeggia 

il vuoto. 

Imprime alla freccia 

il moto e 

glissa a lato 

la mano timorosa. 

E il mondo incappa 

nella rete, tolto 

alla nebbia, per ventura 

colto e richiamato 

nei tratti del gesso 

che si incide gratta 

striscia stride, 

mostro di scrittura. 

Così, dal buio fermo 

la lastra polverosa 

fissa su dal fondo 

il bordo della cosa.
