It is not enough to just stand on your feet

A firm ground for your feet is also necessary

 But a firm ground for your feet is not enough

To lift them and walk is necessary

Removing the thorns from the way is necessary

Sowing the seeds of love is necessary

 If there is love, then everything is necessary

अपने पाँवों पर खड़े होना ही ज़रूरी नहीं 

जमीन पर मज़बूती से पाँव टिकाना भी ज़रूरी है

सिर्फ़ मज़बूती से पाँव टिकाना ही ज़रूरी नहीं 

बल्कि चलना भी ज़रूरी है 

चलना ही ज़रूरी नहीं

रास्ते के काँटों को मसलना भी ज़रूरी है 

काँटों को मसलना ही ज़रूरी नहीं 

उस जगह मुहब्बत के बीज बोना भी ज़रूरी है 

अगर मुहब्बत है तो सब ज़रूरी है 

वरना कुछ भी ज़रूरी नहीं
