Wael Alsayegh is an Emirati Poet, Translator and Athlete. He writes in both Arabic and English. His poetic style has been described as being a unique blend of Arab and Western influences mixed with a touch of both ancient wisdom and modern practicality.Wael Al-Sayegh is an Emirati poet, athlete and SME Business Owner. While his occupation and passion focus on martial arts and fitness, his heart lies in poetry, literature, art and music. Wael owns his own martial arts and fitness academy in Dubai that is funded by the Sheikh Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and supported by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders.

He has completed his Masters of Arts and is a graduate from the University of Glasgow. Wael’s major inspiration to poetry have been Nizar Qabbani, Charles Bukowski, Padlo Neruda, Rainer Maria Rilke, Khali Gibran and Jallah Aldeen Al Rumin.

Wael writes his poetry primarily in English since it provides him with an open landscape to explore his unique style of expression.
