Prof. Francesca Corrao
Prof. Francesca Corrao is a professor of Arabic Language and Culture at the LUISS University in Rome, Italy. She is Ph.D. in “Islamic Studies” (Rome University “La Sapienza”, 1990), M.A. in “Arabic Studies” (American University in Cairo, 1983). She has been teaching and participating in innumerable seminars and congresses in the Arab world and across Europe.
She is a member of the “Union Europeén des Arabisants et Islamisants”, the “European Association of Modern Arabic Literature Teachers”, the “Institute of Oriental Philosophy” of the Soka University in Tokyo, and the “Centre of Studies on Mediterranean Culture” of the Universitàl’ Orientale. She is also the president of the “Fondazione Orestiadi in Gibellina (Trapani) and Dar Bach Hamba in Tunis. She has authored several books, composed beautiful poetry and published many articles.
