Dr. Pushpa Satyasheil was born in 1941, in Delhi (India) and is an accomplished violinist and poet. She writes her poetry in Hindi. Dr. Pushpa has done her education in music, dance and economics from Delhi. She holds prestigious music degrees including Bachelors, M.A., MPhil, and PHD with specialization in Violin. She is an accomplished poet, violinist and dancer.

She started writing poetry while teaching dance and has 11 books published under name including Journey of Violin from west to east, Apni Baat, Geet Pallavi, Satya Katha Pushp, Violin ki Vikas Yatra amongst others.

She has won many competitive prizes in music and poetry competitions in college.

She also enjoys gardening, embroidery and knitting in her free time.
