Mr. Ali AlShaali

Engineer Ali Al Shaali is an active member of the Emirates Writers‘ Union. He published “A Bee and a Rababa“ and  “Faces and Weary Others”; two anthologies of poetry. He has been the CEO of Dubai International Poetry Festival 2009. He has also participated in many poetry soirees and literary events.Ali is currently the Senior Director of Publishing & Translation Department, at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation; where he was mandated, in March 2008, to contribute to the Foundation’s strategy to firmly establish the foundation on the region’s cultural scene.

Mr. Ali Al Shaali is a graduate of the Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development.Possess remarkable business development skills with a wide range of technical and managerial experiences that qualify him to play a notable role as one of the UAE’s young leaders. Ali holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering from the UAE University, and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, USA. He is a trainer – Students Training Program, Dubai and Trainer – A selected Script Writer – Sesame Street (Arabic Version) – Mubadala, AD

Ali Al Shaali has presented and participated in many literary evenings. He has a permanent presence in exhibitions of calligraphy and art. He is the Founder and Director – Dar Al Hudhud- House for Publishing and Distribution. A Constant guest (2011 – 2012) – the program: “In the presence of the book” – Sharjah TV.
