Iron Spirit
Earth’s heart wails, a tear-filled ocean,
Her people toil without ceasing limit.
What holds the rod of mankind unbroken?
The unyielding, lion-hearted spirit.
Resolute he works despite trial,
Sweat trickling, pain in his veins
Crashing against him, the waves rile;
Yet iron-willed humanity remains.
Life is not always so sweet,
The book of life has chapters of woe.
But never, never give in to defeat,
Against a steel spirit, none can go.
Man’s future is an arduous tread,
Capped with obstacle and block.
But in oneness, we fight the looming dread,
In firm spirit; hands clasped we walk.
Though we face many afflictions,
In unity, no one is downcast;
With positive mind and strong conviction
Through whatever, an invincible spirit ever lasts!
