Arnulfo Rodrigo is a Grade 10 student of Far Eastern Private School Al Shahba campus. Writing became his passion and used it as a means to entertain, inspire, and influence others. He believes that the freedom to express one’s independent thought has no boundaries and can be expressed through any medium. He is hoping that someday through his writings, he will be able to spread his ideas that will create an incredible impact to make everyone live in a fairer and a just world

Velvet curtains, hiding actuality

Nullified connections, misunderstood affections.
Withered leaves and black winds.
Plastic words, inhumane grins.
This is reality, a fraction of humanity.
Covered up with dirty money.
Hoping it would solve every abnormality.
Yet, change is imminent in society,
Persevere to bring back clarity.
Give back to humanity, what we have lacked in centuries.
Amity, the halcyon camaraderie.

About the School
Established in 2001, Far Eastern Private School in Sharjah (FEPS), United Arab Emirates has implemented the Philippine curriculum and is welcoming students who require Pre-Elementary, Elementary, and Secondary Education. FEPS – Al Shahba Campus is one of the pioneering Philippine schools in the region, operating for 16 years. The school is owned by Sir Ahmed Al Ansari and Madam Maria Teresa Sales Al Ansari.
