Youth are back bone of any nation and can change the future of society through their courageous behaviour and social skills. Empowering the youth so that they can build a strong foundation and carry on their contribution to society is the reason that school students and budding poets form an integral part of The Poetic Heart. Motivating our youth incudes teaching them responsibility and goal setting. It also means encouraging them to think independently and share their opinions freely.

A poetic symposium is therefore the ideal platform to prompt school students to nurture their skills. Expressing their thoughts on poignant topics such as compassion, respect, nature, life and death inspires them to delve deeper, be curious, question and debate about them. It encourages developing new perspectives and opinions. Reading out their poems on stage enables them to master the art of public speaking. Participating in the event as an audience develops their ability to appreciate the intricacies of poetry and of the poetic art form in different languages.
