Have we lost all our grace

In the face of humanity

We don’t expect anything in this tyranny

Are we still in vanity?

Reawakening values is not an easy task

Sympathy and empathy is what we need at last!

Light the fire that is deep within your heart

Did you pick up what was torn apart?

I will shout for you to wake

Give me hope for what’s at stake

Humans are creatures defined by values

Values are what defies creatures.

About The Poet

I am Abdulla Shakkil studying in grade 11 A in New Indian Model School, Dubai. From childhood itself, Ihada long obsession to compose poem. I always thought of choosing topics that is happening in and around me. This is the first time myself was chosen by the Poetic Heart. I am indeed grateful and thankful to the judge of panels for selecting my poem, Values.
