A 30-year-old of Indian origin based in Dubai with his parents. With a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. For most of his life, Vikram was considered ‘severely cognitively challenged’ and unable to function normally. At the age of 27, 3 years ago, there was a breakthrough when Vikram started to communicate using a spelling board and later an iPad that enabled him to spell out words. The miracle started to unfold. Through his words, his persona came to light; his knowledge of rhyme in poetry, storytelling ability, and even writing came forth. While he writes on a number of varied subjects, Vikram intends to tell the world that “Autistics have a voice that needs to be heard!”
