നമ്മൾ ഇങ്ങനെയൊക്കെയായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു 

ഈ ഒരു രാത്രി മുഴുവൻ

നമുക്ക് ഉറങ്ങാതെ ഇരിക്കുക

ഈ ഭൂമിയുടെ ശ്വാസം

ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്,

കിളികളെ കേട്ടുകൊണ്ട്.

ഓരോ മരക്കയ്യുകളും

നമുക്ക് ചുറ്റും വെട്ടി വീഴ്തപ്പെടുന്നത്

കണ്ടു കൊണ്ട് നമുക്ക് സമാധാനത്തോടെ

എങ്ങനെ ജീവിക്കാൻ കഴിയും

ഈ ലോകം നമുക്ക്

അന്യമായി തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു

യുദ്ധം നമ്മൾ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു

വെടിക്കോപ്പുകളുടെ സംഗീതമാണ്

നമുക്കിന്നു ഇഷ്ടം

കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ ചോരയിൽ

കുതിർന്ന് നടക്കുന്നു

ഒരു മയ്യത്ത് നമസ്കാരം

യുദ്ധ്ത്തിന്റെ ബാക്കി പത്രം

പരസ്പരം ഒരാലിംഗനത്തിനു

മടിച്ചു കൊണ്ട്,

നേർക്കുനേരെ നോക്കി,

നമ്മൾ കടന്നു പോകുന്നു

നമുക്ക് സഹോദരന്മാരില്ല,

സഹോദരിമാരും.

പരസ്പരം നമ്മൾ

തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നില്ല,

നമ്മൾ മനുഷ്യരല്ലാതായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

Let’s not fall asleep

Listening to the breath of the earth

Listening to the crickets .

Tree Branches

Being chopped down all around us

Seeing this

How do you live in peace

This world of ours

 starting to get weird

We have come to love war

The music of gunfire

We like

Getting soaked

In the blood of babies

A death salutation

The leftover of war

Without hugging each other

Hesitantly,

Looking straight, We pass

We have no brothers,

and sisters.

We don’t recognize each other

We have become non-human.
