Dimitris P. Kraniotis
Dimitris P. Kraniotis was born in 1966 in the Larissa Prefecture in central Greece and grew up in Stomio (Larissa). He studied Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He lives in Larissa (Greece) and works as internal medicine specialist physician. He is the author of ten poetry books in Greece and abroad and also the Editor-in-chief of an international poetry anthology in English.
Dimitri has won international awards for his poetry which has been translated in 28 languages and published in anthologies and magazines in many countries around the World. He has been invited and participated in several International Poetry Festivals representing Greece abroad. He is a Doctor of Literature, Academician in Italy, President Emeritus of World Congress of Poets (UPLI),President of 22nd World Congress of Poets (Greece 2011), Founder and Director of Mediterranean Poetry Festival (Larissa, Greece), Founder and President of World Poets Society (WPS), Chairman of Writers for Peace Committee of PEN Greece, Ambassador of Movement “Poets of the World” in Greece, Universal Peace Ambassador and member of World Poetry Movement (WPM), Hellenic Literary Society, Society of Greek Literary Writers, etc. Also, he was Professor of Department of Nursing of University of Thessaly in former TEI of Larissa and Editorial Director of the Greek medical magazine “Hippocrates”.
