Aisha Yulia Abdullah
Aisha was born in Russia where she spent her childhood and youth. In the early 20th she moved to the UAE where she embraced its culture and language, that helped her to adapt and become an honoured, socially friendly, positively active member of the local society.
Aisha’s interest in the online media and Emirati heritage inspired her to start blogging about the UAE, its culture, traditions, people and local lifestyle that gained a huge interest of international audience worldwide. She became recognized as a local influencer and received multiple awards and appreciations. Dubai Police awarded Aisha with a Certificate of Appreciation yearly for her contribution as an influencer at their campaigns.
She was a successful presenter and communication manager at Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding in Dubai, then from 2014 director at Maestro Group, Abu Dhabi that is focused on the cultural consultancy and founded by the prominent and well-known Emirati a.k.a. Ask Ali.
Her love to the Arabic and Bedouin poetry and passion to share it with others unleashed her talent to compose rhymes. She started writing her favourite “desert” style qasa’ed in Russian and publishing them online that collected a great positive feedback from the huge number of the Russian speaking audience and build a bridge of understanding between two cultures.
